My Favorite Apps

Instagram allows you to post pictures and images. But, how can you get more like, comments, and shares out of your Instagram posts?

One easy way is to use apps to make sure your images and videos are well optimized.

First, use pictures and videos that are interesting. Users like to see: landscapes, selfies, food, puppies, babies, and, the ever popular, risqué ( you know the saying….”sex sells”).

So, once you’ve planned out the subject of the post, the next step is to decide how to make the post more interesting. I have 2 favorite applications I recommend to all Instagram users:

Founded in 2010, Instagram is now the fastest growing social media platform.  Did you know that Instagram has grown from 600 million to 800 million in the past 12 months?

Instagram Hashtags

Instagram has always had a strong focus on hashtags. Did you know you can add up to 30 hashtags per Instagram post? In December, 2017, Instagram added a feature that allows users to follow hashtags. This means you can get involved in conversations that are happening on Instagram relative to your business. For example, if your target market is women aged 35-60 that are interested in fashion, you can follow the hashtag #fashionover40. Every time someone uses that hashtag in Instagram, you will be notified. This gives your business the opportunity to like, comment, and repost relevant contact and attract more customers.
